Inniti is pleased to announce a strategic win with global cosmetics leader L’Oréal to transform their laboratory instrument data connectivity. A few years back, the client began exploring AI solutions centrally to use their vast data, produced daily by tens of thousands of lab instruments globally, and quickly found that only a relatively limited amount of the data was auto-collected with 100% integrity; the remaining data was manually recorded and in silos, risking their AI vision.
To tackle the gap, the cosmetics giant initially tried to develop instrument data connectivity through internal projects but quickly realised they needed a dedicated expert partner to address the challenges posed by different instrument manufacturers, different protocols, custom region-specific workflow processes, global scale, and long-term maintenance. Therefore, a rigorous 18-month RFI/RFP process was conducted to select the technology partner, resulting in Inniti being identified as the leading provider of laboratory instrument data connectivity.
From Paris to Global Scale
Inniti and L’Oréal have agreed to start this global project with the first phase at two sites at their Paris headquarters, focused on establishing an automated data flow between lab instruments and their in-built LIMS system. The successful framework of this technical evaluation phase will serve as the rollout foundation for the other sites in France, the USA, China, India, and Brazil.
“This project is about more than just connectivity, it’s about creating a unified digital language for thousands of instruments worldwide,” said Thomas R. Lund, CEO at Inniti. “Starting with the two sites in Paris, a site in USA and one in China allows us to refine the integration, accommodating the client’s internal IT, cybersecurity, and data policies before we scale globally. We are helping our client move toward a future where every data point, regardless of where the lab is located, is captured automatically and accurately with the FAIR principle for their AI applications.”
By replacing manual data handling with fully automated data capture, L’Oréal is making a key move towards achieving its AI goals. With accurate, machine-generated data at the source, AI developments can rely on trustworthy information instead of corrections, bringing their AI vision closer to reality, supported by Inniti.
This agreement further demonstrates Inniti’s ability to support large-scale enterprise deployments, confirming our technology as a trusted choice for global organisations focused on future-proof laboratory operations and creating a reliable, AI-ready data foundation.
